KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational

• Be familiar with the international Spa and fitness industry.
• Ensure each guest receives a warm welcome and provides safety for all guests during sessions.
• Have sound and thorough product knowledge of the methods and services offered at the Spa and Gym.
• Provide professional guidance and instruction on gym/cardiovascular equipment.
• Conduct fitness assessments for guests as needed.
• Conduct introductory classes for guests with little knowledge of the gym/cardiovascular equipment.
• Provide fitness classes as per bookings or as per fitness and wellness schedules.
• Promote and encourage fitness and wellness classes, together with spa services.
• Actively promote the retail products
• To complete written fitness and wellness programs for guests whenever applicable
• Handle guest complaints in a professional manner and ensure the Assistant Spa Manager is aware of all issues.
• Partake in training pertaining to fitness and if required spa treatments.
• Perform spa massages if need be.
• Developing self to improve performance.
• To assist in providing departmental orientation to newly recruited Eri Hosts.
• Update fitness and wellness class schedules.
• Provide group or private yoga and meditation classes.
• Demonstrate safety techniques of yoga practices and show the correct way to get into poses, most beneficial breathing patterns and tips for achieving spiritual wellness.
• Offer adjustments and recommendations, proper body alignment and offer alternative poses.
• Offer training to Eri Hosts when required for experience.
• Assist at spa reception when the need arises.
• Proactively promote fitness classes to achieve targets.
• Promote fitness and wellness classes by actively walking around the resort interacting with guests.
• Ensure all yoga equipment is hygienically kept according to standards.
• Ensure the Gym and Yoga Pavilion is clean, tidy and organized always.
• Instill brand values and standards to maintain quality daily.
• Proactively educate and inspire Eri Hosts for a healthy-active lifestyle, inside the department and around the resort.
• Maintain a good professional relation with Eri Hosts and all other members around the resort.

General

• Keep open and honest communication within the team and towards guests.
• Develop an extensive knowledge of all Resort facilities and services.
• Maintaining a high standard of grooming and appearance, always wear the correct uniform.
• Be aware of and adhere to all Resort procedures for security measures, fire, safety, health and hygiene.
• Be familiar with and adhere to all house rules and Resort policies as set out in the resort handbook and Eri Hosts Guidelines.
• Comply with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Complete all duties as requested by Assistant Spa Manager.
